“IVORY. A crime story” is a result of titanic work that took three years. More than thirty operators, more than thirty countries the crew traveled around... And all this was done to tell about the barbaric extermination of African elephants. And, perhaps, to stop it.
According to statistics, given by the film author and director, the famous traveler, hunter and documentary filmmaker Sergey Yastrzhembskiy, one elephant is killed every 15 minutes. And if this continues, very soon, these animals will remain only in zoos as rare animals.
The poachers, hunting for ivory, do not stop at nothing - including the murder of people who are trying to stop them.
